SEPTEMBER was the last update?!?!? This of course does NOT mean I haven’t been busy, because I have. The last ‘completion’ I posted was the set of little X-Wings. Here’s an updated set of finished works (click to jump):
There are a few small numbers on there in 1/2256. But most notably the T-70, Nebulon B, Howlrunner and Acclamator builds have had a long history on this blog. The TIE Fighters were a fun quick break from the longer-term projects. The Mako Cruiser (latest) is a one-off for a client who supplied a drawing to work up some 3D from. It turned out quite nice…so much that I upscaled it from 6″ to 14″ and will build a larger, lit version.
You’ll also notice a POD thingy…that is the Probe Droid Dispatch Pod 232 seen briefly in the intro scene from The Empire Strikes Back. I reconstructed the studio model donor details, from the 8Rad hull to the Hanomag braces, in an effort to create a 3D printed studio scale model. Since it was done in 3D I’ve been able to scale it to not only STUDIO scale (which is appx 8″) but all the way down to 1/144 (or 1″) in “real world” scales.
This bridges me to the current large project…………………..stay tuned!!
