I had a bit of time this past weekend to bust out the Dremel and the shop vac to dig into these huge chunks of resin. The nozzles are nice and clear so I just drilled into them a bit. The bright LEDs should light up the ends nicely. The inside of the hull pieces were a bit tricky to navigate since they are so blocky. I basically went around the edges and thinned them out to accommodate the fiber optics better. Some larger holes and trenches were also required in the thicker section to mount the LEDs and fibers properly. I accidentally drilled a little too far on one pass so I’ll have to reconstruct some hull plating.
