AH yes! Here are just about all of my 1/4222 builds, both kits I mastered, kitbashes and other available kits. Missing are the Action Fleet Acclamator and some smaller Republic Frigates.

I’m about to start an mpc star fighter build. How do I acquire a panel scribing template? I’ve seen these used a few times and the results look great!
Very beautiful work there! Any chance to see them in dark, all lit up?
ha! thanks! but actually only one of them lights up (the biggest one
)

ah thanks for the link! Missed that one – Errant Venture really looks great. I just found an old MPC Ertl Star Destroyer kit and I think I’ll do her justice and restore it, possibly with some scratchbuilt additions. Any tips on how to install optic fibres? Do you drill small hole for them or how?
Fiber optic wise I used .25mm fiber and drilled each hole individually with a #78 bit. Took a while but well worth the effort. Assembly-logic wise I threaded the fiber before priming (for the most part) and connected the electronics before sealing up the hulls. That way you can trim all the fibers flush with the model surfaces once painting is complete and viola! lit windows!
thanks for the tip. doesn’t sound too bad… I guess it’s a must with such a model – certainly gives it a whole new perspective!
np! i used a bunch of screen shots from ESB for placement reference as well as all the studio model pics available on modeler magic
